About the Event
You will be held as you explore grief through guided meditation and sound. We will walk through the gates of grief together - the personal, collective and ancestral sorrows that we all experience and carry. We will travel with what lies beyond the gates with curiosity.
Sound healing is a relaxing and re-tuning experience for us on multiple levels. It assists our brain to enter deeper, slower states and encourages physical repair on a cellular level. Sound can be extremely supportive in working with, and talking to grief, trauma and life challenges.
Sarah is a grief guide, death educator and activist, who walks beside you, as you navigate your internal grief landscape. Making grief and death part of your life and regular practice creates the fertile compost from which new life blossoms. Sarah is passionate about creating spaces and places for grief, talking about, and preparing for death in our death denying society.
Rounik is a sound and energy therapist, who brings curiosity, warmth and and an open-heart to his group and individual sessions. Embracing shadow and light is the core of Rounik’s outlook for integrating our lost parts on our healing journey. Along with sound this has been integral in his own voyage through grief and trauma.
The session will begin with intention setting, and we will build a grief altar together. Sarah and Rounik will guide a meditation and sound bath, so that you can begin to meet grief and what it wants to share with you. We will close with tea and vegan chocolate treats, and an opportunity to share our experiences.
Whether or not you've worked with grief before, whether your grief is brimming and bubbling, or you find it difficult to access, you are very welcome to join us.
